We will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible. Keep in mind we work with select premium manufacturers who have varying shipping policies. You will receive specific instructions accordingly once your order is processed. Depending on size, weight, delivery location or other factors, every product on our site has been carefully selected to ship by a particular shipping method in order to provide you with an optimal delivery experience.

Do you ship outside the continental United States?
Unfortunately, due to a number of complications including shipping cost on large products and manufacturer warranty we do not currently ship outside the 48 contiguous United States.

What are your shipping rates?                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Shipping rates are based on the size of the order. Many products qualify for free shipping and if so will have a free shipping icon on the product page. If the order weighs less than 150 lbs it will be sent small parcel. If the order weighs over 150 lbs it will be shipped using a freight carrier (normally 18-30% of the purchase price). White glove delivery is also available on most large items. Contact us for a quote on white glove delivery items as they may vary depending on the manufacturer.                                                                         

What does your FREE SHIPPING include?   Exactly that, free shipping! Absolutely no gimmicks or hidden fees. The price you see for an item is what you will pay, with the exception of sales tax if applicable. This will include a standard shipment through the preferred carrier.

Small Parcel Shipping (less than 150 lbs. and standard sized packages)      Orders will be shipped using either UPS, FedEx, USPS or DHL. Shipping is calculated during the checkout process or can be calculated in your shopping cart. Items that ship small parcel and are shipped for free will reflect it in the checkout process. Small parcel shipping estimates are based on weight, dimension, class, ship-from and ship-to addresses.

Standard LTL / Freight Delivery (over 150 lbs. or oversized packages)
Standard freight in situations where packages are either oversized, their weight exceeds that of small parcel regulations and/or the manufacturer's or shipper's shipping policies. Items that ship standard freight and are shipped for free will reflect it in the checkout process. In some instances it is possible to upgrade your freight shipping to include a liftgate service or inside delivery for an additional cost. Some items may include these services for free and they will be designated as such during the checkout process. For shipments that require special assistance and a more upgraded service such as White Glove we highly recommend that you place your order with us over the phone and/or contact customer service at 888-448-1298 so we can provide you with a precise shipping estimate prior to order placement. All freight shipments will include tracking numbers but not all have online tracking capabilities. In any case, all freight deliveries require a delivery appointment to be scheduled and a signature will be required upon delivery - you will receive a call from the carrier to schedule a delivery appointment. LTL / Freight deliveries occur ONLY on weekdays during regular business hours - 9am - 5pm.

LTL Freight / Curbside Delivery
Your order / products will ship via freight carrier. Items that ship LTL/freight are trackable. On standard curbside deliveries you will be responsible for offloading from the truck and carrying your order / products to the designated area of your choosing. Items which ship for free using curbside delivery will be designated as such. You will be called to schedule a delivery appointment by the carrier.

LTL Freight / Curbside Delivery + Liftgate
Your order/products will ship via freight carrier. Items that ship LTL/freight are trackable. On curbside deliveries that include a liftgate the carrier will be responsible for offloading from the truck and you will be responsible for carrying your order/products to the designated area of you choosing. Items which ship for free using curbside delivery will be designated as such. You will be called to schedule a delivery appointment by the carrier.

For items weighing over 150 lbs we include a free curbside delivery, this will get the truck to your home or business, they will unload the safe with a lift gate to the ground level. The carrier will call in advance to schedule delivery. Depending on the weight of the safe you may want to arrange for additional help to bring the safe inside. Please contact us before the item ships if you live on a rural route, area not serviced by freight carriers, or on an Island. If you have a narrow, steep, or inaccessible driveway for an 18 wheel truck and trailer, please call us ahead of time for further options.

LTL / Freight Inside Delivery
Your order/product will ship via freight carrier. Items that ship LTL/freight are trackable. Inside deliveries are full service and the carrier is fully responsible for offloading your order/products from the truck and carrying it to a designated indoor area passing through no more than one threshold (a doorway for example). The carrier will not carry your order/products up any staircases. Indoor delivery services normally requires an additional surcharge. You will be called to schedule a delivery appointment by the carrier.

When will my order arrive?
Every product on our site has an estimated Lead Time - the number of business days it takes for an item to be processed and prepared for shipment at the warehouse. Keep in mind we work with select premium manufacturers who have varying shipping policies. You will receive specific instructions accordingly once your order is processed. Each lead time varies based on many different factors. Some warehouses stock items that can be shipped the same day or within 24 hours. While many of our partners provide custom orders which vary in production time. Each product page on our site includes the estimated lead time.

For Small Parcel shipments, delivery usually takes between 1 and 6 business days after your order is picked up from the warehouse. You should remember that the estimated lead time still applies before the item ships out. Be sure to consult the product's lead time before you order with expedited shipping, and call us if you have any questions or concerns.

For Truck Freight shipments, delivery usually takes between 3 and 10 days from when your order ships. For residential deliveries, you will be contacted for an appointment as soon as your order arrives at the local terminal. For commercial deliveries, no appointment will be made. If you need to make one, please contact us.

What do I do if my shipment was damaged?
We require that all safes over 150 lbs be inspected at the time of delivery before being signed for, the driver cannot leave the site until the safe has been signed for. In the rare occurrence that your order has been damaged during shipment, please note the specific damages on the delivery slip that you sign, then contact a representative to discuss your options. If your item is partially or has minor damaged and you would like to keep it, we will get a replacement part if available or touch up paint to you immediately, and talk to the shipping company about compensation (as long as the damage was noted when you signed for it).

*Please note that most full size gun safes ship upright, if the safe is lying down when it arrives, please call us to discuss or be sure to inspect.

*If your item is beyond the point where touch up paint or compensation is not acceptable, please refuse the delivery and contact a representative. The item will be shipped back and we will ship you a new item as quickly as possible.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING DELIVERY - MUST READ**

Your product will be delivered by a third-party logistics carrier. When the carrier calls, please be sure to make delivery arrangements that fit your schedule. You (or a designated person) are required to be present at the agreed upon delivery date. home4guns.com can provide contact information for the carrier if you wish to call to set an appointment (recommended). Deliveries are Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (local time). As with all products delivered by carriers, there is typically a 4-8-hour delivery window. If a delivery is not made within 3 business days from arrival at the delivery terminal, the carrier may charge storage fees, which you will need to pay before delivery is made. Once your appointment has been set, and the shipment is out for delivery, should you need to change, or if you are not present at the time of delivery, a re-delivery charge will apply. You will need to pay these fees before a re-delivery attempt is made. At the time of delivery, the truck driver will ask you to sign a delivery receipt.

BEFORE SIGNING delivery receipt (on all orders over 150 lbs. or oversized packages) you must: Visually inspect all packaging and contents and notate on the delivery receipt any scuffs, scrapes or tears on packaging. Why? Failure to notate on the delivery receipt even the most minor of scuffs, scrapes or tears will relieve the freight company of responsibility for any damage to your product (even hidden damage) and a damaged goods freight claim is impossible to submit on your behalf. In most cases if there is a minor scratch we can get you touch up paint, but if the shipment is damaged beyond repair, refuse the shipment and contact us right away at 888-448-1298.

 

Hollon Safe Shipping and Terms

Do not sign for shipments until you have thoroughly inspected for any damage. Hollon Safe is not responsible for shipments that are not signed for as damaged upon arrival.

Shipping & Delivery

All orders weighing over 125 lbs or more are shipped via LTL freight carriers, unless otherwise noted. The freight carrier provides either dock or curbside delivery based on location. Curbside delivery is defined as delivery of the freight as close to the actual delivery address as possible. Please remember the size of the tractor trailer and certain safety precautions may prevent the freight carrier from delivering the freight at the actual curb or delivery address. Lift-gate service is available at no extra charge and it is the sole responsibility of the customer to coordinate inside delivery of the freight with the trucking company, sub-contractors, and/or themselves. The freight carrier is not responsible for the inside delivery of any freight and inside delivery is not a service that Hollon Safe offers.

In some remote rural areas, islands, toll bridge access areas, union states, ferry tolls, etc. may be subject to additional charges. If charges apply the customer will be notified before shipping for approval.

Hollon Safe uses the services of FedEx on all safe order weighing 124lbs or less. All safes are shipped via FedEx for cost effectiveness. Safe shipment can be upgraded to 2nd Day Air per customer’s request and at cost the customer, if available.

Any address corrections, re-consignments, or storage issues due to freight being undeliverable will not be the responsibility of Hollon Safe and may result in additional fees. The customer will be contacted and advised of any additional fees prior to Hollon Safe providing the freight carrier with any written or verbal authorizations regarding any changes in the shipment. Upon contact, it will be the responsibility of the customer to find a resolution the issues in a timely manner. Hollon Safe reserves the right to authorize the return of any freight found undeliverable where the customer, after repeated attempts, is found to be unavailable for contact. Customer will be charged for all freight to and from the point of delivery regardless if the buyer was eligible for free shipping in all instances where freight is determined to be undeliverable and is returned to any Hollon Safe warehouse. Freight that is returned because it is deemed undeliverable will be subject to a 15% restocking fee.

Inspection for Damage Process

All LTL freight deliveries MUST be inspected for damage at the time of delivery. The banding will need to be cut and the box taken off the safe in order for proper inspection. The safe itself should be inspected for any signs of damage to include indentions and friction marks. Any signs of damage MUST be noted on the delivery receipt for any attempt of a discount or refused for a replacement and you MUST notify Hollon Safe within 24 hours. Please note that the driver cannot leave until the delivery receipt is signed for. If you are uncertain of the proper procedures please contact Hollon Safe immediately. Again, Do NOT sign for the shipment until you have thoroughly inspected for any damage. Hollon Safe is not responsible for shipments that are not signed for as damaged upon arrival. Occasionally there may be damage that is not apparent upon receipt of a shipment. Some freight carriers allow up to 15 days from receipt of shipment to accept claims of concealed damage, others do not. After the allowable time of concealed damage claims has passed, Hollon Safe Company cannot assist with freight claims. For this type of damage, a replacement safe is not an option. Any discount will be given once the claim has been approved.

All freight shipped via Hollon Safe is shipped in an upright position, banded down to a wooden pallet. Any signs of damage, freight not being delivered upright position are justified reasons for the customer to require further inspection of the actual freight itself. If the damage is minimal and acceptable to the consignee, they will be required to make note of the damage on the delivery receipt at time of delivery prior to signing the delivery receipt. Under NO circumstances shall the consignee discard the pallet or packaging material until the safe has been determined to be in good working condition and/or all claim issues have been resolved. When the delivery receipt is signed by the consignee in good condition. Failure to follow the procedures above will remove all liability of damage from Hollon Safe and require the consignee to file any claims against the carrier themselves.

For all parcel shipments, the customer must notify Hollon Safe of any damages within 24 hours of receipt. Customer will also be required to provide Hollon Safe with a brief description of the damage. If the customer declines to keep the damaged safe, it will be the customer’s responsibility to repackage and hold the safe until a claim can be submitted and FedEx can retrieve the damage safe, the process can take up to approximately two weeks.

Returns

Safe can be returned for a period of 14 days from the date of delivery. All returns must be approved by an authorized Hollon Safe representative and returned with a required “RMA” number. Safes must be returned in the original packaging and must be received in an approved Hollon Safe warehouse undamaged and unused within 7 days of the issuance of the return authorization number. All freight charges are non-refundable. All safe returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee. In addition, if the returned safe is received by Hollon Safe damaged it may be subject to additional fees. These fees will be determined by an authorized Hollon Safe representative and will be prorated according to the extent of damage. Customers will be charged for freight to and from the point of delivery regardless if the buyer was eligible for free shipping. All freight charges will either be prepaid by the customer directly to the carriers or will be deducted from the safe refund. Credits will only be issued upon receipt and inspection of all returned safes.

Sun Welding Safe Shipping and Terms

Local Pick Up: Sun Welding will assist with the loading of the safe into the back of a trailer, pick up or SUV.  We suggest you bring moving pads and tie down straps, as the safes do not come standard foam, boxed, or on a pallet.  We offer theses items at an additional charge. The purchaser is responsible for tying down the safe as they see necessary.  If picking up with a pick up or SUV Sun Welding will only lay the safe on its back for transportation.   Having the safe on a pallet is not recommend as it is more difficult for the user to maneuver, unless you have a pallet jack at the end location.

Local Delivery: Customers located within Sun Welding's delivery area please call 805-584-6678 for a quote on inside home delivery.  Sun Welding offers curbside drop off, garage delivery, and inside first floor delivery.  We also offer professional bolt down/installation service.

  • Stairs: For up/down stairs or safes over 2500 lbs. or over 2 steps please call 805-584-6678 to setup delivery.
  • Installation: Bolt down service is available for $85.00 on the first level of your home.  Sun Welding only offers installation/bolt down to a concrete slab floor.  If your home was built with a post tension floor we require a waiver signed before bolt down.  If you are unsure or have questions please consult a contractor.  If you have any questions about bolt down, please contact us at 805-584-6678.

Out of Area Shipping / Delivery: 

What to expect at delivery?  The freight carrier offers standard curbside delivery, typically with a 48' semi truck.  Other arrangements for a small truck (pup tuck) can be made along with garage delivery.  The freight carrier will remove the pallet from the back of their truck using a lift gate and place the pallet on your driveway.  At that point it is the customers responsibility to move the freight inside the home.  The freight carrier will not remove the safe from the pallet or remove any of the package materials.  If you would like more information on delivery, have a long drive way, or any other special request please call 805-584-6678.
Standard Freight Costs: All products weighing 100 pounds or less are shipped via USPS standard or FedEx ground and will be delivered to your business or residential door.  For products weighing 101 pounds to 3,000 pounds our standard shipping & handling cost includes all of the following: 

  • Lift gate included (to lower the safe to the ground) at curbside.
  • Residential curbside delivery.
  • Safe is steel banded and bolted to a pallet, foam, and wrapped in a cardboard box.  Double box is an available option.

Inside Garage Delivery Option: ($50.00 ADDITIONAL FEE. Select this option on the product page) Access to an "overhead" garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete.  Excessively steep driveways or driveways longer than 25ft are NOT included in this service.
